Dr. Jansen Richins is an exceptionally accomplished periodontist and dental implant surgeon passionate about providing top-quality care to his patients. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Minor in Chemistry, he furthered his education by obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland.
Upon completing his degree, Dr. Richins relocated to Oklahoma City to pursue his interest in periodontics and implantology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. During his three-year residency, Dr. Richins completed his master's degree and developed deep expertise in the field. Dr. Richins' commitment to professional excellence is evident by his board certification in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, as well as his diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Weinstein is an exceptionally accomplished periodontist specializing in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. His educational achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Columbia University, magna cum laude, and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Weinstein also completed two years of General Practice Residency at the Manhattan and Bronx Veterans Affairs hospitals, where he served as the chief resident and completed his periodontal residency at the University of Washington (go Huskies!). His passion for knowledge and contribution to the field of Periodontology is evident in his research work, for which he has received several accolades, including the prestigious Balint Orban Memorial Award and the Volpe Prize. His research has been presented at the American Academy of Periodontology, and his surgical expertise has been featured in the textbook, "Soft Tissue Management: The Restorative Perspective."
Dr. Weinstein is an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington, where he teaches Periodontics and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Periodontology, the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Clinical Advances in Periodontology, and Periodontology 2000.
Dr. Lakshmi Boyapati is an exceptionally accomplished periodontist and dental implant surgeon with impressive academic qualifications and professional experience. She earned her B.D.S. dental degree from the prestigious University of Sydney in her native Australia and went on to complete her Master of Science in Periodontics from the esteemed University of Michigan graduate program. Additionally, she obtained a certificate in advanced Implant Dentistry from the Misch Institute at Michigan and was selected for a one-year ITI Implant Scholarship to the University of Bern in Switzerland to further her advanced training.
She taught at the University of Illinois in Chicago and worked in private practice before relocating with her family to the Pacific Northwest.
Dr. Kaminsky is an exceptionally accomplished periodontist and dental implant specialist, originally from Massachusetts. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and minored in American Sign Language. From there she completed her Postbaccalaureate at Harvard University and DMD degree at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kaminsky had the opportunity to move to the PNW for the prestigious General Practice Residency program at Swedish Medical Center, here in Seattle. It was during this program that she realized her passion for specialized and complex dental care. She earned her Certificate in Periodontology and Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and was selected as a finalist for the Gerald M. Kramer Award by the American Academy of Periodontology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Kaminsky enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest slopes and trails with her wife and their Labrador retriever mix, Otis.
Dr. Nguyen is an exceptional periodontist who is passionate and committed to providing exceptional oral health care to patients. After Graduating Summa Cum Laude from East Carolina University with a dual major in Biology and Chemistry, Dr. Nguyen continued on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
Post-graduation, Dr. Nguyen completed a 1 year General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Portland Veterans Affairs Hospital, gaining valuable experience and proficiency in various aspects of general dentistry. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, Dr. Nguyen honed his skills and developed a deep sense of responsibility toward community health and access to quality dental care.
Driven by a desire for specialization, Dr. Nguyen continued his training at the University of Washington. This advanced training has equipped Dr. Nguyen with the knowledge and skills to address complex periodontal issues and provide specialized care to patients.

Last Spring had a gum graft procedure at Advanced Periodontics, and I was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. Dr. Kaminsky and her well-honed team are phenomenal.What truly set this experience apart was Dr. Kaminsky's commitment to find the best solution for my particular case. Instead of immediately opting for the typical surgical approach, she proactively investigated whether an alternative strategy would be possible that could improve my outcome and recovery experience. This led her to find that it would be possible to take the tissue for the graft from an area near where I previously had wisdom teeth, rather than the roof of my mouth, as usually required. The result was a remarkably smooth and fast recovery with essentially no pain.Throughout the process, I felt well-informed and engaged. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I got an implant from Dr. Weinstein on my front tooth recently and I cannot recommend him enough! He did such a good job and he, and his team of Chey and Jessica, were so knowledgable and patient as I had a million questions at every step of the process!

My dentist, Dr. Sekijima, referred me to Dr. Boyapati for tooth resorption. (She told me how great Dr. Boyapati is and I trust anything Dr. Sekijima tells me because she’s an amazing dentist.) Dr. Boyapati and staff exceeded expectations! I had an extraction & socket graft, as well as a gum graft and everything went so smoothly! As a rule, I wouldn't call 'having a tooth extracted' a great experience. But, Dr. Boyapati and the entire staff—including her surgical assistant Jessica—really made it into one.Their offices are easily accessible downtown with lots of parking. Everyone is friendly, kind, professional, understanding, and very aware of the fact that this kind of procedure is SCARY. To that end, I am very delighted that they offer a menu of different sedation options, ranging from nitrous oxide all the way up to full sedation with an anesthesiologist.Personally, I opted for oral sedation, which requires you to have someone drive you to and from the appointment, but otherwise was easy as can be. I was completely numb and totally blissed out the entire time, and never experienced any real pain from the procedure.I hope I never have to have another tooth extracted, but if I do, I will definitely go back to Advanced Perio.

Great experience from the front office all the way to the doctors!I am an anxious patient with white coat syndrome so I especially appreciated Crystal's caring bedside manner. She gently and accurately communicated each and every step. She made sure I understood and was ok with each step and then checked up on me after to make sure I was still comfortable.Unfortunately, this is not my mouth's first extract/implant encounter- fortunately, I can honestly say this has been BY FAR the best.
I have had a few cleanings here and every hygienist exceeds and goes beyond any expectation. Most recently I saw Lisa for my cleaning and she was very professional and made me feel comfortable. The dental assistant Rosa took some X-rays which I’m usually not a fan of but she made it go so smoothly! Definitely will keep coming here due to the high level of exceptional care they provide! 10/10

All the staff are very kind and accommodating - almost too much so, but I understand some people have extreme anxiety about dental work.They prepared me well for what to expect, the procedure was quick, successful and I felt well-cared for.
Had to go in last summer for microsurgery to treat an infection and we just finished our post procedure follow up. Staff was very friendly and helpful, Dr. Kaminsky did an amazing job getting me back in good shape.Loved how clean and professional the place looked. Very happy with my experience there.
Completely PAINLESS! I am truly amazed at this clinic's ability to perform aggressive dental surgeries without there being any pain. Over the years I have had a root canal, an implant, and two major extractions in this clinic and every time is shockingly pain free. I cannot recommend this place enough.
